Chateau Les Croisille, Cocoricot IGP Côtes du Lot 2023

A fresh, organic take on Malbec from France's Croisille family.

Cécile and Bernard rented an abandoned property on the Causses terroir in Luzech in 1979. They dedicated themselves to restoring life into those lands, with their son Germain joining them in 2008, followed by Nicolas, his childhood friend, in 2010 and finally Simon, the last of the family to become involved in 2015.

This Cocoricot is produced bio-dynamically with wild yeast.  Made with carbonic maceration, meaning the grapes are allowed to ferment from the inside out, which leads to a uniquely juicy, textured quality on the tongue, like a little dance party with your taste buds. But, like a sophisticated dance party, because we are still in the old world and Malbec doesn't play.
