Castell di Perno Barbera D’Asti 2021

In the heart of Italy's iconic wine region, atop a ridge overlooking the village of Monforte d'Alba, lies the historic Castello di Perno. This medieval masterpiece, originally built as a defense against invaders, later became a sanctuary for Italy's literary minds. 

In 20212, a Milanese lawyer, Gregorio Gitti, embraced the property and the 35 acres of Barbera grapes farmed there, all organically. 

From those grapes, we get to enjoy this robust, noble wine and the history that it brings along with it. Notes of cherry, dried strawberry and plum, this wine loves a Wood-Fired Pizza with all the toppings, peppers, olives, salami, she loves a spicy party.
